What: Linnea Memorial Pet Walk and Adopt-a-thon
When: Saturday June 5, 2010
- Check-in begins at 8 am
- The walk begins at 9 am
- Adoption and vendor booths are open from 8 am –12 pm
Where:
Spring Canyon Community Park, 2626 W. Horsetooth Road Fort Collins, CO
Located at the West end of Horsetooth Road in the Creekside Pavilion.
Alternate entrance at Drake and Overland Trail, turn south on Overland
Trail.
Why: To honor the memory of Linnea Dick by bringing together animal lovers and pets for a 1.5 mile Pet Walk and Adopt-a-thon.
What to Expect:
- 1.5 mile pet walk
- Chihuahua races (other toy breeds welcome)
- Adoptable animals
- Agility demonstrations
- Angelyne the “Amazing Deaf Cattle Dog” & Eric Melvin will be performing
- Pet Communicator
- Pet Products
- Educational tents about pet care and training
- Live Band, music by Prairie Dog Companion

- Whippy Lick Contest
What to bring: Walking shoes, family, pets on leashes and a passion for animals. (Water will be provided)

How Your Dollar Helps: All contributions will go to the Linnea Memorial Foundation and will be distributed among various local animal charities to honor the memory of animal lover and advocate, Linnea Dick, and her passion for animal welfare.

My husband, our dog Jojo and I thoroughly enjoyed the pet walk in memory of Linnea. We thought it was very well organized and were so pleased to see the number of participants. We particularly loved the pictures along the trail of Linnea.
